Nursing a six month old isn't the serene, quiet, relaxing situation as it was when my Lindsay was a newborn infant. Now nursing is aerobics, for both of us!
While I'm nursing her, she is pulling her head back as far as she can to see how long her "baba" can go. Meanwhile, I'm pulling her forward with all my strength while holding her feet which are either pushing off on my body or kicking anything they touch on the other end (like a full cup of water which creates an ocean on the floor).
If a distraction comes, and they always do, its: pop, nurse, pop, nurse, pop!
She likes to pull my necklaces (meaning: try to wrench them off my neck), or push, squeeze, pinch any part of my body that she can find in her grasp.
And at the end of the feeding, I sit her up and she pukes on my shoulder and is happy, fed, and ready to play!
I'm worn out!
